Painted my plastic valve cover

I painted my plastic mazdaspeed valve cover the other day. My P5 is midnight blue, and everything else in my engine bay is midnight blue, so i decided to kinda paint it like JUN does there valve covers, so i airbrushed the gunmetal into the midnight blue, so it looks like it just flows into the other. The left size looks almost silver in the pic, but trust me its much darker. I havent put the center mazdaspeed bezel back yet though, so it kinda looks funny.

What do you guys think?

looks nice, i have a MNBlue also and I am currently switching over to a black and silver theme, just did my valve cover in wrinkle black =)

I like the way you faded the gunmetal into the blue, what kind of paint did you get for your color matched parts?

Picture looks fine to me...very original idea. The guy that I traded mine to (for his P5 valve cover) painted it Black Mica (I painted it Metallic Red).

I just bought some blue that i thought would match for my other stuff like my intake, strut tower bar, and i put down a dark primer, then a flat black the painted over it and by george it is exactly on. Did the same on the valve cover, just laid about 2 coats of high temp primer before i sprayed the gunmetal and blue. And it looks great to me. I will get a pic up of what it all looks like together. the only other thing is that the rest of my engine bay is filthy. And i dont know what to do about it.

The only thing about engine bright is that i heard that it might take off my paint on some of my things. Not sure though, kinda was stupid to install all the s*** before cleaning my motor.
