PaulMP3 gets a new grill

got my DGM autoexe grill painted and finished up tonight.

I used a lower grill from a mp3/MSP/P5 to make the mesh, i didnt really care for the mesh/wire it came with. I left the black verticle bars behind the grill for now. They are all one piece so it will take some time and lots of patients to carefully remove the pieces without ruining the look. I did center the verticle pieces on the grill it looks somewhat stock.

I cant really get to good of an idea of how i like it, the garage is fairly dark, and humid as hell.

here is a pic of my other new mod..

SS clutch line... feels very nice i havent got to test it out yet, but it makes a huge difference just pushing the clutch in and out. very tight and springy feeling.

ya. I wanna do my grille the same way, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. I know I have to buy the bottom grille piece from the stealership for like 400bux, but what do you do after that? Well obviously you get the grill painted, but what after that...

the factory bottom piece cost 29$ from the dealership. there is one for an ES protege for 19 the same pattern, but im not sure it was tall enough, and didnt want to chance it. So i bought the bigger one.

I lined it up where i wanted it, then used tape to outline where to cut. Then i went to town with my dremel w/cutting wheel i made it a really snug fit, then just trimmed it where it needed. It actually stays in with no glue at all, but to get it push up tigt agiants the grill i used JB weld and a few dabbs of hot glue to hold it in place.


Kooldino, im not sure how i like it yet. I haven't had a view from more then 4' away. My garage is a tight fit. Glad to see your comming to the meet, i want to hear those pistons.

i have all sorts of pics over the forum.. i need to take some new ones once the weather gets nice.

Friday, im gonna wash my car, then i will have some distant Pics.

Im really happy the way the paint matched up.. it looks perfect.

I like it, but I know what you mean when I put my CF autoexe grille I felt the same way I missed the mazda symbol so I got a "mazda" emblem and put it on the right corner and it looks kick ass.
