agreed paintless is the way to go. I had a dent taken out of my door just like that and you cant even tell

you all had it done on the crease though? i have a simliar dent by the pass handle and the dealer said the door had to be taken off.

Can someone explain this "paintless dent repair"? I have a few ding/dents I need taken out, and $75 would be well worth it. Good luck fixing it, hope it turns out well. How'd it happen?

I had a HUGE dent taken out of my door right on the body line like that but mine was much larger. As my body shop guy calls it the female "hip check". I had alot of things in my hands and tried to close the door. It didnt close all the way, so without thinking, and having many older beater cars in the past, didnt think twice and just "hip checked" the door. I left a dent in the door that looked like someone opened their door right into it. I went to the paintless dent repair and they fixed it for like 100 bucks. Well worth it. Can't even tell that there was ever a dent.

Call your dealership or look in your phone book for paintless dent repair. Your dent they will probably charge $50-75. I had about 7 dents taken out for $180.

yea mine was in the crease. Some idiot threw a binder @ my car and it hit the door right around the same area. I was pissed. I got an estimate from a body shop that ran about $250, I ended up having our dent guy at work take it out for $35.

Cool! thanks so much for the information guys and gals! I'm gonna look into those paintless dent repair places soon! Anyone know any in the area?

Was it the same thing as the DingKing thing they are selling on TV?

No, the dent places usually like to come in from the inside, and they have this tool I can only describe as a "ball bearing on a stick". They roll it over the bump until it's smooth. Of course for the real large, shallow dents they use a heavy-duty version of the tool described above.

Hmmmmm... I think I might want to do this myself then. Just take off the door paneling and "pop" it out. What do you guys think?

Well if it has a crease in it, you won't want to pop it out yourself. It will leave a ripple where the crease was. These dent guys use those special tools, and it's really worth the money. (which really isn't that much)
