Is it ok to switch from Mobil One Full Syn. 10w30 to 5w30? I figure it might benefit me and my car during early morning rush to school and not having time to heat up my car. I've been using 10w30 for about 10,000 miles now. FRAM sucks.. (peep) -jay

Sure, question is why are you using 10w30 in the first place. Specs call for 5w30.

my manual tells me i should be using 10w30.. we get warm conditions here in cali but nothing over 90+ most of the time. is it still ok to switch? .jay

5W30 is better for colder environments like us up here in our igloo's..

10W30 is fine...

quick what's the part number for the MX-6/probe oil filter that can fit our engines?

Your choice is dependant upon your climate. Some people switch depending on the season, but there's no problem switching them. The manual lists both 5W-30 & 10W-30 dependant on the temperature range you anticipate.

Nothing wrong with running 5W in the winter and 10W in the summer.
