well it aint much it's cost saving and space saving also... added in an extra 6x9 speaker to the rear deck, and a 6" bazooka tube sub and when everything combined w/ my sony deck, it'll pound when i turn on the "loud" function :)

here's a few pix

interesting placement, hope that rear deck is strong enough to support the speakers ;)

yes looks good eh?? well the previous owner of the rear deck said there was no problems and the material is strong.. :) so far so good...

and everybody needs kleenex :P just being prepared incase of a booboo ;):P

Boston Acoustics makes some fine 6x9s. I had two pair in different cars. I had one in a Grand Am piece of s--t and when taken out, the thing was so old it dry rotted so I got a brand new pair of the same for the Eclipse I had back in the 90's

Cool. I had a Bazooka tube in my old Grand Am. Filled out the sound nicely. You know you'll get better sound if you aim the outlet towards the back of the car, into the corner?

Sorry... but I never understood the whole Kleenex in the rear thing... but besides that, it's a pretty slick set-up. Although, now you can't remove the rear cover w/o disconnecting the speakers... that kinda sux.

facing the back into a corner eh?? i'll try that out tonite.. i have it facing towards the passenger rite now..

lolz i alwayz have a box of kleenex...

yea disconecting is a bit more work... but it's not too much work just a few more mins.. i'd be more worried about pulling it out w/ the extra weight of the speakers.. but it's all good :)

enclose??? you mean box it up under there where the magnet is??

where the speakers are put.. nothing.. b/c the weight of the speakers held it down pretty well... but the smaller part of the trunk cover, you know where the trunk cover folds up.. that smaller part rattles, but i got a few stuff over it, so no rattles..

other then that.. if i turn up the volume quite a bit, the only rattle is @ the spoiler..

a hole was cut so the 6x9 fits in perfectly, and screw holes drilled, then it's just nuts and screws that's holding everything up :)

if you can enclose the speakers you have two benefits, you protect the speaker and you get all the sound going out towards you.

Great job! Looks great. I'm sure it sounds much better than the rear door speakers :)

Sorry, just not a fan of the Bazooka tube. I've tried it before, but was not impressed by it.

lol I have to agree ... it was buzzing and distorting but I didn't hear any bass (lol2)

cool i'll look into boxing it up :)

as for the tube, it's just perfect for what i wanted.. althou an 8" would be even nicer.. but 6" is not too bad... but my main target was the 2 rear speakers hehe and since i'm powering it thru an amp, might as well put in a lil sub back there just for fun... and it worked out better then i thought... and if i ever get tired of this lil thing.. i'll look into a 8" or 10" sub.. hehe
