Lost rear speakers

Have you checked your infotainment settings already? You should be able to hear some audio from the rear speakers with the fader tuned all the way to the rear. If you can't hear anything at all with the fader set to the rear, then there may be a wiring/connection issue.
I'm pretty sure your speakers are still installed in the doors. Pretty hard to lose them, unless you lost both rear doors too... 
(joking) sounds like a loose wire or water intrusion. If the car has ever had body work done sometimes they dont put the moisture barriers back correctly so it's possible the connectors can get corroded over time. Also should probably check the interior fuse box and or pull codes for your car. Need more infos to help you out.
