2019 CX5 wheel well trim

My nieces trim piece came off or was stolen. I am pretty proficient with this type of work but have a couple of questions pictures attached for each question.

1- There are different colored push pins, any reason for this (maybe it was replaced in the past?
2- There are flimsy plastic pieces that surround 2 on the push pins. Any reason for this and is it only 2 or are a bunch missing.
3 There is a big plastic block, what is this things purpose?
4- Photo of the intact side mud flap that shows 2 push pins.
5- Photo of damaged side that does not appear to have anywhere to accommodate the 2 push pins from previous photo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, plan to replace when it gets warmer out to avoid breaking new piece.

That has been broken off the fender, leaving those "plastic pieces that surround 2 on the push pins" which were originally part of the trim moulding. The different color pins were likely original, just reuse them if needed when you get a replacement piece.

i know there are different color "pins" that hold trim in place,maybe best to go online and find the parts breakout for it....looks like it was broken off
