2011 Mazda2 Aux jack giving up - repair or replace?

Hi, newbie here!
I have a 2011 M2 and the aux jack has recently gotten really finicky. Sometimes it works, sometimes I have to fiddle with the cord, and sometimes it refuses to. I don't know if this is a common problem, but I'd like to either fix it or repair it. I'm moderately handy though not remotely a car geek.

Is this fixable, and how hard is it to do?

Thanks!

Bumping this because I have the same issue. I don’t want to replace for $50 unless I have to and I also saw the solder jump fix prevents the CD player from working, right? I don’t want to do that either.

If you have access to a junkyard, you could get a new aux connector.

After that, you just need to pop the console panel, unplug the old auxiliary jack, remove it from the panel, install the new one and plug it in.

If that doesn't work, it might just be your aux cable (I know mine is starting to give up) or maybe the radio?

I hope this helped.
