2025 Mazda CX-5 Front and Rear Foglight Retrofit

Hello,

I hope everyone is alright. I am not new to Mazda, but I am totally new to Mazda's customization. I was wondering if anyone knows and can confirm if the Mazda CX-5 2022 and onwards is prewired for rear and front fog lights.

Living in Germany for 14 years has given me a new appreciation for how helpful rear fog lights are and how safe they can make you in foggy situations.

Planning to buy the following fog lights

I think they look fantastic. and It really makes the car pop.

The part numbers that I will need so far are
KSD6-V4-680 (LED Accessory Lamp)
K49C-V7-790 (Mounting Harness)
BAEK-66-122 - Blinker Stalk unit with Fog light F/R

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Because:
a) The Mazda (and many other current brands) foglights are not that great. They are primarily there for those who think "it's cool".
b) Idiots have them on all the time (see (a)), so that the down-facing lights reflect off wet roads into the eyes of oncoming drivers.
c) Having them on at night does not provide useful information to the driver at normal speeds, who should be looking & concentrating far down the road, not down right in front of the car or to the sides of the car.
d) For whatever reason (as mentioned previously) they don't come on unless the headlights are on, thus defeating the whole purpose of reduced glare in fog/snow.

Don't get me wrong, for those that have to travel (at reduced speeds) in heavy fog/mist/snow, properly designed and aimed fog lights are a godsend (provided you can use them without headlights).
Not getting the arguments. The fog lights on the CX-5 don't blind oncoming traffic at all. They do give better lighting close to the car, as others have pointed out. This is not a detriment in any way I could imagine. While I agree folks should be looking down the road, they could benefit from extra light near as well as it gives your eyes more information.

I know as there are literaly hundreds of current gen CX-5's in my area and I have been head on with many of them over the years with their fog lights on. Not blinding at all in any weather conditions.
great... try driving a non-SUV, a sedan at night, where you're closer to the ground and let us know how that goes
