yeah got mine last night and installed! whee they are nice. Make sure to cut the bump stops in half before you install them.

if you don't your car will sit directly on the bump stop and there will be no point to having a strut. This is assuming you have a drop over 1.5"s

I wouldn't think so, no, because the mp3s run HPs and a .8" drop and are fine. On another note, the gound control coilovers suggest cutting the bump stop in half as well, as you wi ll end up sitting on the stop with a stock strut and a 3" drop. With the illuminas tho, the strut stopping point is higher, so the bump stop starts to get in the way if you have a drop.

please remember though, I'm just going with my experience here, I can be wrong I'm no expert.

well i'm running the eibach pro sports with the luminas...so i guess i'd need to cut the stop. maybe i should contact tokico directly? any other opinions??

You know, I don't think I cut my rear bumpstops at all when installing my SPOOL springs. I wonder if this is why they sit kind of high in the back? At the time, I didn't think it would matter much, being that you could compress the stops with your hand relatively easy.

well with just the spools and stock struts, you should be okay, the back just sits high because you don't have a powered subwoofer in the back. Put that much weight in the back and the springs will go down a tad. If I take my sub out the back I swear it launches up 1/4" higher


As for my struts, I got them from Rishie, yes.

as far as cutting the bump stops, i have been lowering cars at the shop for over 2yrs and if you are lowering it with the prokit i would cut 1" off the bump stops. if you dont, when ever the car is loaded with people or other stuff it will bottom out. physically the struts are all going to be the same so illmuina or hp, it doesnt matter. cutting the bump stop is not a big deal either so dont worry about cutting it!
