The plastic side rail on my 2002 protege5 got damaged and I would like to replace it, since it doesn't look too civilized like this.
Going through the classifieds I found a 2003 Mazda protege 5 (with the factory roof set) that they are selling for parts.
Though it would be a pain in the arse to remove the those plastic covers (I mean you have to remove the roof for it, and doing it two times...) I would still do it if I'd known that it would fit my car.
I would get them for a $100 which beats the dealerships $600 any day so I'm more than tempted.

Since I've bought the car used and it was painted over with the plastic caps on, it's really not an option to remove them and put in a filler since the original color was blue and not it's silver...
Can someone help me out with this?
It would be rather urgent.
Any advice would be appreciated.
