Engine Needed

Hi i have an question my Mazda Protege speed 2003.5 engine has bearing knocking and i think the head gasket is done my question is there is few jank yeard around where i live in B.C (Canada ) but cant find any Mazda Protege Speed
My question is would i be able to install the normal Engine from a protege 2003 and just install the turbo and exhaust or i need that engine
b.c it looks the same to me

yes its the exact same engine internally

so all i have to do is install the exhaust with the turbo and it should work wow b/c if you find an engine in this junkyard it costs only 250 bucks you have to take it out.

You will need to swap the main bearing support plate as well

thats just crazy its the same engine the only think is the ecu and turbo upgrade

It can be done in a day, but a couple days is likely for the first time.

Depends on tools and help. We can swap a motor out and have it runing in 3-4 hours in a civic. Protege doesn't look too bad to do if you have a hoist

why not just change the stuff you know is phuced rather than dice rolling on a junkyard engine? another alternative is torontojdm. they have fs9 engines though no mention of mileage.

i got it running but i dont know where the wastage lines goes to

Wategate line tee's off the line for the BPV and runs to the intake manifold.

i got an inercoolor and a blow off valve but the waste-gate i don't know where it goes do any have any pictures of the car engine bay it will be easier that way

There is a vacuum routing diagram under the hood but if you have an MP3 it won't have the turbo setup on it. The stock Wategate actuator (WGA) vacuum line T's off the stock Bypass Valve (BPV) line and runs to a nipple on the top of the intake manifold.
