Car stalls in neutral

Hello I just bought my mazdaspeed protege with 61K miles. Right after I bought it I had to have the maf replaced, one of the coils, and had the reflash done. When I am driving the car sometimes stalls when Im driving and shift to neutral to coast. I have to downshift to prevent this from happening. The guy I bought it from said it was a factory problems that cant be fixed but that sounds like bs. Could this be bc of a bad cat?

It doesnt happen only after boosting its mainly when driving over 2000 rpms. When I got the reflash done they said maybe the cat but wanted another $100 to diagnose it.
The existing mods he put on were hks bov, a fatter cold pipe, and a cai dont know the brand

Was the Mass Air Relocated or Not?

If not, then "Theres Yer Problem"

I cant see a pic but do you have some engine bay pics? Grab a couple for us of the intercooler set up and such.

Relocate your maf to the coldside ic hose after the BOV.
