BumperDefender bumper guard and Tailpipe Finisher

Here's a picture of my M5GT with BumperDefender.com's bumper guard with color matching. Not an exact match but close enough so unless you're looking at it closely, can't really tell. It uses 3M double backed tape and mounting it takes less than 20minutes.

Also on this picture, you can see the polished stainless steel license plate frame which I had it for many years. It looks as good as new like the day that I bought it, just needs some elbow grease when you want to make it like new. Tailpipe finisher is also a nice touch, as well as the rear splash guards. I wish Mazda would make the front ones for the GT though.

Also, some pictures of the CX9GT after the car wash!

I can see that bumper guard preventing scratching if you ever parallel park on a busy street like the city or crowded beach. I'm still thinking about getting them. Nice tailpipe finisher

Yeah, it's unavoidable that eventually, the rear bumper will get scratched, whether I park in NYC or NJ. I've always wanted to prevent this from happening but don't like those bumper guards that hangs down then swings all over the place when you're driving - like BumperBully, just plain ugly.

I am now thinking of adding the similar protection on the side, but one that looks like it came from the factory, which has tapered ends.

For the front, probably BumpShox and 3M clear film for the entire facia. For my CX-9 however, only additions that will go on is the regular OEM bra and mudguards.

How does the tail pipe finisher install?

I was thinking of having a muffler shop add a tip.

It's easy, two philips screws on the bottom. Welded on ones are nice too but why spend extra bucks for it. Besides, these you can take off when you change out the muffler when it goes and put it on the new one. It took me literally 5 minutes and no special tools are required. Just don't over torque the philips as there's a chance you can bend in the muffler tip with the screw.

Hey Diesel, that is a great looking vehicle. I believe your CX 9 might be the color of mine (blue) how does the driver fit compare between the two of them? Chuck

Chuck - thanks for the complement. The CX-9 is black exterior with black interior. Actually, I find that the M5GT feels better as far as driving position goes for some reason. It feels a lot more comfortable than the CX-9 for some reason. CX-9 does look and feel nicer, however, I feel a lot more at home on the M5. Been upgrading the audio on the M5 as well, and it will be close if not better sounding than the CX-9's Bose system when finished. I am now looking to upgrade the factory speakers with Focal 570CA1 units then install the 4 channel Alpine amp for them as well eventually. Sub and amp is now sounding to my likings with low end shake and rattle in music that's similar to the Bose system. I now use my James Taylor CD from the 80's as the test music.
