Here is a tip for painting pillar pods!

Go to you local auto paint supplier. The one near me matched a 1/2 pint of trim paint $18. (they took the mazda color right out of their paint book). Get a spray can of vynal primer $4 , and a propellent can $10 (glass gar with an arosole propellent on top...This works just like a spray can).

Clean your pod with mild soap and water. Don't forget to dry! Spray the pod with a few light coats of the primer let sit at least 5 minutes between coats. let dry for 30 minutes. Apply your Trim paint in light even coats with at least 15 minutes between coats. (This is automotive paint an requires no thinning to use in the propellent can but takes longer to dry then regular spray paint.) Be sure it is at least 50 degrees where you paint your pod or it will never dry or spray right. Let dry for another 30 minuted before you install it.

I just finished mine yesterday and you can't even tell a difference between stock color and what I painted! I havan,t installed the gauges yet but I will get pictures as soon as its installed.
