F/S- Mazdaspeed protege rebuilt head.

Hello everyone. I need to sell this extra head I have that I recieved with my mazdaprotege. I was told it has less than 2000 miles on a fresh rebuild. It also has a mild port and polish on the intake side. Also a 5 angle valve job. The head will come with full valvetrain, head, cams/cam gears, and also the washers and head studs. everything is pretty clean. It wouldn't hurt to wipe down with a rag before installation. I have never used it before, I was but then I needed some extra cash.I am firm on 400 for the whole bundle. The rebuild and port and polish and valve job im sure cost more than what im asking. Item is sold as is due to the fact that ive never used it. But it looks in amazing shape and will look better when wiped down and cleaned etc.

Are all the caps labeled? And I only paid 350 to have my whole head redone with 5 angle valve job new guides and a full mild p and p. Why was the head taken off the car?

It was on another motor and the rings took a crap in the bottom end. It was still on the extra block i have. I just took it off 2 days ago. I WAS going to use it. But i just dont feel like swapping the heads out. A brand new motor was baught an installed when the rings went out of the other block. The head is better than the one I have and less miles, but as i said i just havent switched them out yet and decided that my head bone stock with only 36,xxx miles will do me fine for now. I also will be selling the bottom end and the trans here in a few days when I take them apart. the bottom end and trans both have 40,000-50,000 miles and the bottom end needs reringed and the trans should be good to go.

If a new motor was put in there's prob more wrong with the block. Just saying. And if the head was rebuilt why not the motor then?

What the hell are u guys talkin about. The guy said his rings went out on th other motor probably causing it to burn oil and have bad compression. Seems he bought a new long block assembly and didn't need to instal the rebuild head. Dont trash his thread if u dont know what ur talking about.

Yes you are correct dandan2. thank you for sticking up for other people. The motor was baught through michigan motor works and it cost 2295.00 for an 03 2.0 pro-s motor. I have the reciept for the motor install costing total 4292.24, so fox racer and skatnrlz1986, stuff that in your pie whole and go bug someone else who cares or truly is shady. Im looking for an honest deal and I would love to use the head but why go throughthe hassle when mine is perfectly fine. I dont blow a whole bunch of money and time to swap out something for little gains. and also a tune would probly required in there somewhere. But oh yea wait you guys didnt think about that niether did you. Yes dandan2 that is what happened and it happens when you run what 11+psi on stock motor. The guy even told me he beat the motor down, and he had the head on not even 2,000 miles before the bottom end rings went. I have the bottom end just chilling in ym shed and I can take pictures to prove. He was totally honest and my car was a great deal and he also never gave me misleading information at all. So for real go bother someone else you 2.

The head was all in one piece, but when I had removed it I had to take the cams out to get my tool to fit in the slots for the headstuds. all the valves and retainers are still in place and the cams can be rienstalled easily, and retorqued. And also fox racer, thats great you got your head for that much. but thats you, also if you didnt want it in the 1st place you wouldnt be in this thread, that is unless you just go around talking crap on threads with no intent to buy. But other than fox racer and skatnrlz1986,I will be happy to answer any questions or info needed, Also I can get more pics at anytime. Thanks to all who are interested.

I'm just asking you questions about something I'm gonna buy I never called you shady or tried to trash your post. Sorry if you think that

and you said he beat on the motor? Did u see if the bearings were bad? Maybe bent rods or craved ring landing? I just thought if u spend over 4 g for a motor why not build the one that had the rings go bad. that's all I was saying, think about it.

Yea iunderstand what your saying. But in this case im sure its the rings. but thank you for the reply anyhow. But I will be taking the block apart here soon anyways so I will check it out in depth before selling tofind the exact reason but im 95% sure its just need new rings. There hasbeen 3 motors in the car. The original which gave out, it threw a rod through the side of the block. The second one I have for extra, and the 3rd on is nothing big just RELIABLE. I had future plans on going built and traing to make 400 with forged internals and a cast iron block should get me there. But 1st things 1st. Money=parts.
