Questions about looks and guts

Hi guys!

I'm going to be upgrading from the little Paseo I've driven for like 7 years, and am really taking a strong interest in the 6. I have read hardly a negative word about it since I started researching cars, and they look fantastic.

Questions:

- which color do you like best (if you can only pick 1)? I like the orange burnt coppery metallic color, but suspect it could go out of style easily and affect re-sale values.

- Anyone have pics of the car without GFX package? It seems like some folks think it makes the car look "cheesy" or "tacky" (for some reason I always like the look of cars that people think are tacky - I like spoilers and rails and intakes etc).

- any reason NOT to get a V6, other than the price is more than the 4?

Best Regards

Jarrett

Welcome to the site (hi)

I am not a fan of the oragne at all and I think you may have a point about resale value with it.

White, yellow, blue, red and black all look nice. The seamist green is the one color I am really not a fan of. blue is my favoirte

With out the body kit I don't like the car at all. It looks far to plain.

I believe teh 4 cylinder will have more turbo support. Atleast it has a few kits in the works and one available in japan.

Here's how the body kit looks!

I choose steel grey because it's non-discript. I personally love the orange, but I know many others dont. My favorite color so far is the dark green they have in Panama=/ I also like the true classic red they have on the 23z sport in Japan:( For state only colors, I'd go with orange/yellow/or grey. (grey is the most popular from what I've noticed on forums)

That's a pic of Stretch with no appearance or sport package, BUT with the 17" rims.

The v6 is pretty thirsty. If your looking to save money on gas, you may be better off with the 4. If that's not a concern, the 6 puts down 40+ more hp at the wheels then the 4.

Thanks Necessity! I like the steel grey too, but when I 'build' it on the Mazda Canada website, it appears you can't get that with black leather - only grey leather. I like black leather. Might have to go silver exterior.

I love the blue, we had one at our meet in the pic below. Sorta blurry, but its nice. I'd get the 4 cylinder i think, better gas milage and more turbo support is always good :)

That can't be right. I just went through and created a grey 6s manual with black leather. Mine is also a grey with black.
Give it another go, maybe the page was botched or there was an issue with their applet?

6s comes with side impact airbags as well. Forgot to mention that.

Theres also the differences between Sport, Appearance, and Base.

Base:

This picture is a little off. A TRUE base comes with 15" steelies with hubcaps. BUT, you hardly ever see those. On average they come with 16" rims, no electroluminescent gauges, but awesome financing. You can also always add the appearance package and whatever rims you want.

Appearance:

Basically a base with side skirts and front and rear spoilers-albiet they are added overtop the existing body, and not a new bumper and rear skirt. The appearance and base packages both allow you to have lower sets of foglights in the US, whereas the sport has them built into the housing. Most people (myself included) prefer the lower look.

Sport:

You get 17"s, the bodykit with no glue, the gauges, and the wing.

don't even think of getting the one without the body kit. definately get the 4cyl. black looks the best to me or the seamist green dispite what MP3 in NH said. (no offense, i take the advise you give serioulsy and apreciate it ) but in the end it really is up to you. so good luck and welcome to the forums =)
