but i have and it's great... i'll try to get some before and after pics of the vinyl

Just thought i would share with everyone I just had my hood wrapped this weekend in this material this is what it looks like. I did this because my hood was oxidized and had a lot of damage to it due to the yellow dust here in korea and no one around here would re clear it because they are afraid of sanding through into the CF so i found a place here that did it for 150,000 won (about $122.00).

I may also think about doing it to my hood as well, since the clear finish has been damaged by road debris.

I think it looks good. really has grown on me.

yes sir, that was my inspiration photo haha, i really like that look and i think it will be a nice look on laser blue.

what do you think of it so far? holding up well? easy to follow the body lines there?
my exhaust is dumped at the axle so i wont have any melting issues.

Yeah it's holding up really well. It is a pain with the lil bumps under there just take your time and use a blow dryer to make it more flexible. That's what I did. And make sure to use a sharp xacto blade and again take your time! It took me a lil while longer than expected for sure. Post pics when done I know it's going to look awesome on the blue.

bumb... i would liek to get follow up pics on what it looks like now... Do you have to worry about wax getting on it? Does car wash soap f it up?

this stuff doesn't actually look half bad in my opinion, How would it go being applied to the bumpy texture in the protege's on the door handles and above the console? if I put it on the door handles how would it handle being touched regularly?

I would stay away from the interior door handles personally, or any other "high contact" areas. It is pretty damn sticky but i have no idea how it would hold up. I suppose you could try, then when it starts to peel off, re-do it again.

Here's a tip.
It's way easier to make a template of the parts your trying to cover. I use painters tape or masking tape. Instead of directly placing the dinoc, mask the part with tape to get the exact shape you need. Peel the tape off and stick it to the reverse side of the dinoc and cut it out. Now you should have the exact shape and size you need. This will save you some expensive dinoc and the piece you cut out should fit 99% better. You won't really have to fidgit with it to fit the contours of the piece your trying to cover.

*edit
forgot to mention... use a sharpie or pencil to get the template lines... but it's up to you if you wanna use a exacto and potentially scratch the surface underneath.... i use a sharpie to get the outline of the template...
