this weekend i was able to open up my lights and paint them how i wanted... the process wasnt as hard as i thought.. only issue i had was when i went to put the lights back on the old silicone was resisting the light to go all the way in, and the bent plastic from prying it open... glad i used a heat gun cause i would have been screwed. i just redid the steps heated the old slicone then i heated the frame or the "clip parts" and molded them back down over, then put the silicone on. also got eyelids and the chromed out turn signals too.

I likey

did you niteshade a bit?, what is left for the amber reflector?

i was thinking that, but i know if you do it a light coat it would leave a purple or blue hase so i just did a gloss black. and i also painted the amber reflector. only downside is the brights are dead now. but the cool side is they are like bright lowbeams now so im thinking about getting yellow or white luminics

you should use trs clear lenses and a 55w kit to get some of the light back in the low beam you're losing from the tint while still looking sweet.

im not sure if i understand? my h.i.d lowbeams are perfect i was saying since i blacked out my brights they turned into a 2nd set of lowbeams. i knew it would kill my brights but its what i wanted. i didnt use any kind of tint

can you post a pick with the high beams on, I`m curious how dim they are now. Looks good, like a stealth fighter!

the TRS kit is a better glass for your low beam projectors. it makes the cutoff more crisp and even brightens up the stock bulbs (so im told and what i've seen from before/after pics)

im sure you've lost some light from blacking out the headlight clear case, so the TRS kit would help get some back, and a 55watt kit would bring even more light back. that's all i was saying. it's a sick gettup though, melikes

i don't think he blacked out the low beam lense....

your right the lense is untouched just the chrome ring around it is blacked out. i was saying since i blacked out the brights light well it killed the lighting to were it looks light a bright low beam light. i hope this makes since.

i think its sick! the lights are so dark in there the lenses look like "animal eyes" when other vehicels lights are shined on it, it gives the same effect when your lights hit dogs or cats eyes at night.

brights and more, tryed to show that i didnt tint at all and lite4.bmp that shows that animal eye effect. its with all mazdas just its enhanced due to blacking it out
