I am looking at the Perrin on su. I heard the Greedy is a pos. What about the HKS or Turbosmart kopact 50/50. any help would be greatly appreciated.

a BOV is a BOV in 90% of cases. ive never heard of anyone complaining about a greddy one unless they got it on ebay... any would be fine, as long as its legit and not a knockoff. youll have to relocate your MAF if you dont recirculate... search around theres a lot of info.

the turbosmart might be good if you dont want to do a proper relocation but still get a decent sound when it vents. i dont know how well they work though.

thanks for the info! i plan on recirculating. so ill prob go with the turbosmart cause i love the sound when i shift. whoever owned the car before me put a bov on it. but looks like a generic one that i cant recirculate.

are you sure? greddy, HKS, etc all have recirculation fittings available. do you have a pic? and recirculated valves arent totally quiet when you shift, just quieter...

ill try to take a pic right now but ist dark out so guaity might not be there.

here it is. its on the hot pipe which i thought was weird. but soon all his setup will be gone. engine2.webpengine1.webp

blowoff valve on the hotpipe is nothing too unusual (neither is one hardpipe for that matter), but yeah youre smart getting rid of it. i have no idea what valve that is, but im guessing you cant recirc it.

nooo i wasnt saying it was weird that it was on the hot pipe. i was saying its odd that he got the hot pipe done but left the other stock.
