racing beat springs

Alright guys. Ive searched with no luck. In the process of installing racing beat springs on tokiko blues. The springs are tapered so which end is top and are you supposed to reuse rubber bushings and boot from oem strut? Doing this right now. Any help would be appreciated.

i know the rear springs on some aftermarket springs taper in diameter towards the top. but when you look at them it should be clear to which sits on the strut itself. the diameter will fit the lower spring perch perfect and also the end of the spring coil should sit right in that section where it drops down in the perch.

see the pic below. they are mazdaspeed springs. nevermind the close up pic on the right.
the two springs on the left are the fronts and the two on the right are the rears. the rear springs taper toward the top and the wider diameter part is the bottom. usually the top of the spring has the coils of the springs creating a "flat" surface for the stut mount, where as the bottom of the spring is more made to fit into the lower spring perch, like a puzzle piece almost. sorry if this is confusing.

and to answer your other question, reuse the dustboot, bumpstop, rubber spring seats and everything else from the old strut. all is essential. just change out springs and maybe cut a tiny bit off the bumpstops to make up for the drop of the springs

Here are some pictures that might help. I purchased new spring seats (rubber), new strut mounts (MazdaSpeed for front) and the MSP bump stop (shorter for the lowered suspension). I was able to get the new springs on the struts without a spring compressor (with a little arm strength(boom01)). Hope this helps!

Thanks. I realized not too long after I posted that the rear springs were different than the front. Once I had this epiphany it became pretty obvious that I would reuse all of those pieces. I do appreciate your help though.
