I traded my Eclipse in for my MS3 with over $6,000 in upgrades and I actually got $2500 more than the book price on the car, so I know first hand you can trade in with mods. Should have took those wheels off and kept them man, those wheels are beautiful.

Perhaps it's their only car and they cut lose with it on the weekends? Oh and I disagree on it not making sense to have a manual just because you happen to live in the city. It's still much more involving and funner than a slush box anyday anywhere. I think it's really stupid to judge someone based on what car they drive as well. If someone drives an EVO and happens to live in LA who the hell cares and who are you to judge them for that?

Driving an EVO doesn't necessarily mean you are driving a manual transmission as a lot of them are being delivered with the new 6 speed dual clutch automatics. They are said to be as fast as manuals in most cases and sometimes even provide better gas milage. These dual clutch transmissions are also available in Porsches, GTIs, Audis, and of course, the new GT-R. I have yet to try one but I think I'd love one on my MS3 and I've been driving stick much longer than most of you guys have been alive.

Very nice!
I came from a 03 mazda 6s and wasn't sure how I liked the new one but it has grown on me more and more. The 1 thing that did bother me was the v6 wasn't available as a stick. But for you it definitely makes sense. I just do not like driving them at all (unless it was a truck or jeep), i'd be really bored.

Congrats on the purchase.

how many miles did u have when u traded it in? i might trade my car in too.. my motor dropped even after i got the mounts changed. sometimes i really wonder what problems i'll run into after 36K miles. mazda corporate treated me like s*** too.

nice 6 BTW

looks nice....maybe I'm just too "young" for the new 6 styling. To me it's like a 40 year old woman with a low cut shirt and a boob job, it's just trying to be younger than it's meant to be. Glad you kept it in the family,!

Why do Speed3 owners always get all butt hurt when someone trades in their car for something else? I seem to remember a few threads on here where peple got rid of their MS3 for something else.

You should have seen the guys at myspecv when I got my ms3, they cried so much the thread got locked. I guess people aren't secure enough in their own purchases to handle someone not being pleased/suited with their car. I did my research when purchasing this car (especially with the problems I had with my 07 specv) and it fits me perfect and has been very reliable. Big ups to the people that make the move to the car they really want thats what I did.
