Top Fuel

I went to the Top Fuel Races up at Epping, NH they squeezed in a lot of runs today before Hanna let loose

(bowdown)

HOLY CRAP! First time the funny cars ripped down the track I was giggling like a little school girl. My eye balls were vibrating when they went by it looked like everything in the world was shaking. You could feel it in your chest when they went by. After we watched the teams rebuild most of the engines in an hour or so my buddy got asked by one of the crew teams to help them pack the shoot and he had to pull the brake line in the drivers seat as the guys were taking off the wheel. I was so jealous. I posted a few pics of the guys... big props to the crew teams with all the pressure to rebuild in a few hours they were all wicked cool. When they started up the engines in the crew pits... the fuel they were running was in the air and it was like getting tear gassed...well at leased getting Mace'd I know what that feels like ... It burns your nose and eyes.

Lastly, I can't fathom the money they must have from sponsors etc to run the operations they do.

it was the IHRA not NHRA they're info on their website, more pics and what not. IHRA essentially the staging ground to get into the big big show.

yeah the IHRA must have changed a few years ago and i didn't keep up cause i went to an IHRA event at epping probably 5 years ago now and they didn't have top fuel then... bastards.

I live a few miles away from the track.... and when those guys show up in town, it literally shakes my windows in my apartment. I s*** you not. I can only imagine what it feels like AT the track, if it is doing THAT to my windows. I can hear it plain as day too.

I don't try to explain the experience you just have to at least once. Like I say it scared the s*** out of me but I was giggling like a child it was so impressive

You sound exactly like I did when I had my first NASCAR experience. The first time that they drop the green flag, and you have 43 cars coming at you, all with 600+ horsepower... its pretty amazing. The sights, the smells, and of course, the sounds, are all part of the experience!
