cleaning stock wheels

Is this stuff available at any automotive place?

p21s wheel gel, or even the regular, are by far the best products I've come across for cleaning wheels. If you have a Harley Davidson store near you, you can pick up s100 wheel gel. It is the same product re-labled for bike owners. It cost a little less, but is the exact same product. Well worth the money (it cost more than OTC products). It is the safest thing you can put on your wheels. and its safe for the environment.

Ever notice how bad BMW wheels get? This product was designed with them, and Porsche, in mind.

Heres a couple I've done.

wax on the wheels ... won't there be too much heat just burn it off??

In many cases yes. You would need to reapply much more often than to paint. However there are a few products out there that hold up better to high heat. I use my synthetic sealant from Optimum. Works wonders. Also a wax company called Collinite has a high temp wax which just so happens to do very well on wheels. And of course there are waxes desgined specifically for wheels, i.e. wheel wax and poorboy's wheel sealant.

If mine are real bad, I'll wheel my 5hp power washer out of the garage and blast them off with the 1600psi nozzle. Alittle overkill, but it works great. Out of anything on the car, I hate cleaning the wheels the most. The power washer makes quick work of it and all I have to do is wipe them dry with a towel.

And if the power washer doesn't do it a good steam cleaner will. A good steam cleaner will work better than any brush or chemical alone.
