2.3 mazda6 motor swap

bs what?

theres nothing to call bs on. simple question needed a simple answer thats all people take things to the extreme around here who gives a crap i was just thinking since the protege is dead come 04 and the new 3 which has the 2.3 will be the in car parts would be easier to find down the road unlike the protege thats all

just the thought of "no parts for the protege" just further shows your ignorance about the car... please read the faq before continuing!

ignorance

dude are we talking about you sister or a CAR get a grip man your defending a$7000 piece of metal you do relize this right?..no there is no parts for a protege what a couple home made turbos and some oem cams from other wrecked proteges?..have you ever shopped for parts for a honda now they have parts ever relize that when you open a tuner mag theres barely anything on a protege in there hmm wonder why?.. no parts! maybe the car isnt all its cracked up to be?

forget it asshole, you're wasting my time... obviously you haven't read the faq at all and now just showing arrogance because you're a "qualified tech" that knows everything

go buy your honda

no one is defending the car, they're just pointing out your ignorance. lose the attitude, maybe you'll actually learn something about the protege to your benefit of whatever the hell it is you are wanting to do.

and not to say i have the best grammar, but please try to use punctuation in your posts. if you work on mazdas the same way you type, i'd be worried.

oh yeah... my friends who own their own auto repair shop says that to be a "certified tech" is not hard at all to do. one guy who they hired temporarily knew everything there was to know about a motor... on technical terms. but he couldn't do anything in practice. he was ASE certified, mind you. it took him 4 hours to change rotors out of an eclipse because the moron (who they like to call tweek because he's seems so high strung and stressed out all the time) didn't release the ebrake and was taking a hammer to the calipers. idiot i tell you, idiots!

man, tell us where you or the tech you are talking about (i guess you are confused on your identity) work so we can advise everyone not to go there.

Dood...

I think perhaps the reason people are not taking you seriously, is because of your horrible grammar. Have you tried to read your posts...ever here of punctuation?

Quote "have you ever shopped for parts for a honda now they have parts ever relize that when you open a tuner mag theres barely anything on a protege in there hmm wonder why?.. no parts!".

Now read your sentence out loud. Also, (note the use of a comma) TheMAN is correct, there are parts out for our cars. You obviously have not checked this out too thoroughly. Check out HKS, Skunk2, Greddy, Wings West, APC, Tanabe, Injen, and AEM. Do you recognize any of those names? There are also about 4 companies that have developed turbo kits for the car, and they kick ass. Are they HKS... nope, not even close. However did HKS just simply start out as a giant... nope, not even close.

So if the car sucks that bad, and your are obviously of superior intelligence why did you buy it in the first place? With proper research, all of those magazines told you to run out and buy a honda or an S15 silvia, after all that is were all the parts are right?

the engine WON'T fit in the car... just like any NEW honda motor won't fit in any old honda... the reason is simple... the exhaust and intake manifolds are installed in reverse... not only that, a new tranny, custom mounts, and custom shifter will be needed... the new mazda engines/trannys NEED cable shifters because of the exhaust

there's an old saying.... more bucks than brains
money doesn't solve everything... "anything is possible as long as you have money" is nonsense... will you be able to fit a 454 chevy into a chevy, or any compact car? NO, the engine is bigger than the whole front end of the car!
this is completely correct. I have said this since january. I owned a 6 for a while and contiplated the possibilities . There are none.

listen just know that i dont know who told you or if you thought of it your self IT WONT WORK. nor will the motor fit in the engine bay at the right height to bolt any tranny to it. Never mind line up of the axles.
sorry dude im not trying to be a dick but this has been discussed before. Please dont waste your time with that kind of a project.
Plus the 2.0l FS can be made to handle alot more than it says stock so try for that first or by an EVO:D
