putting it on this afternoon. had to go buy some add-a circuits and wait for the primer and paint to dry. i did remove the OEM pillar and it matched up identically

i had a couple paint runs....so i finally figured out why i work in IT and not autobody. but it came out looking great!

its going in right after work. I have to say..the prosport gauges are top notch! cant wait to get these things lit up.

fyi, dont have the can at work with me ...go figure. but walmart sells an exact paint match of the OEM pillars.

Looks good but not my thing. I would also be concerned with an airbag deployment. As someone who has had an airbag go off I can tell you its painful enough with some gauge pod added in. If you are not concerned with that side curtain airbag, I would remove it. That said, I would prefer to have an airbag in the pillar than a gauge pod.

NM. didn't realize there's a bag in the pillar.

OP, the pics are really blurry, but it looks good from what I can see. Did you make it from a stock pillar?

If we are talking about an MS3 the airbag is there. Mine is an 08 but I imagine the 07 had them as well. Look at the cover on the pillar and you can see it has some kind of indication molded in to it so that you know it's there.

Ed.

The airbag extends down into the A-pillar about 8-10 inches from the headliner. I wonder if there is a way to tether the trim piece to the pillar to allow the airbag to deploy without having the gauge permanently implant your boost level into your forehead.

I have this pillar and actually you dont have to worry about the air bag. Yes it extends about 8 to 10 inches behind the pillar but when the bag is actually deployed it drops down and the bottom of the pillar only tilts out. Nothing goes flying in any direction. This was discussed on another site and there was a picture of the deployed air bag and if you saw the picture you would understand there is nothing to worry about. Also what paint color was it exactly I would like to paint my pillar as the black looks kinda weird.

people here dont seem to understand that when the airbag deploys it folds out downward and back across the driver side window towards center columb of the car (where your seat belt is). and i am anchoring it so its not something im worrying about.

im buying that oem look alike screen and adding a gps to my car so that center dash pod wasnt an option. and the steering wheel columb pod is tacky

i went to colorado for work but i got back and its finally done. my b-day present to myself.

Focus

I'd love to see what this looks like but these pictures are completely out of focus. I'm not trying to trash you, I just want to see what you hard work looks like.

Maybe some pictures from outside the drivers door too.

Would look better if you didn't wire up the white lights. Amber matches the dash, white doesn't. Prosport makes it so you can have them Amber all the time.

wow that looks amazing... so wait u made that pillar? or you bought it? ive been having trouble tryin to find the full pillar like that... i just bought a dual guage pillar from crossover but its not the full length of the pillar its real short and you have to screw it into the oem pillar not something im looking to do so if you have any feedback for me... please? haha
