O.k. heres the deal I need a little help with photoshop for work. I program touchpanels and I want to create a button that looks like a TV. There are three or four things that I need to do with the photo.

1. Remove the current picture from the screen part of the TV.
2. Make the background transparent.
3. Make the screen area two shades of gray and split it in half.

I have an example picture of what I want it to look like (the after picture).

If someone wants to do this for me then that would be great but more than anything I would like to know the steps involved in doing this.

Thats exactly what I was looking for. Now I was able to figure out the transparency part this weekend but I'm having a hard time cleaning the image off of the screen and spliting that in half. Can you give me some steps?

Please and thank you

i think the process for clearing the image off the screen is probably pretty easy
im not a photoshop expert like some people but i kind of know stuff

if i were to do it i would get the pen tool, start at one corner and click it in each of the four corners so it would surround the screen part

then on that layers box i think you click on paths and on the bottom part of the window theres something about selecting whatevers inside of the path

select it then delete it

as for the splitting the screen in half, i would assume you just eyeball it
