TRZ Dog Bone Review

get the delrin, vibs are minimal. i laughed when i started my car because the vibs were not NEARLY as bad as i expected...the performance +1 for any vibs i got increased

question what is the difference between the dog bone mount and just the rear motor mount from protege garage. and another question I jsut ordered mine and was wondering what usual shipping is

I just put my TRZ mount in tonight - the "street" version. Trust me, you don't need anything stiffer than this. It definitely transmits a bunch of vibration to the car, but it's not terrible. I've had stiffer engine mounts in all my cars, so it was to be expected. Shifting is somewhat improved, and you can certainly feel boost coming on stronger. I haven't really jumped all over it yet, but I'm satisfied so far.

Think I'm gonna go for the poly, because, belive me....my car is really stiff right now with those eibachs....I wonder if I'll be able to tell the difference...well, I guess I'll tell you guys when I get it....

After another day's driving on this, I'm really wondering why an aftermarket mount can't be made with a rubber bushing? I mean, it would still be stronger/firmer/stiffer/etc than the stock, but there has to be a balance between vibration and performance. From an effectiveness standpoint, it's been great, but installing this has reminded me why I wanted a new car that was already fast instead of modding ones to be fast.

Tradeoffs... :)

rubber sucks, it is just too sloppy. even if it was solid and didnt have holes in it like stock. no "performance" shop would put their name on something like that.

so which bolt is the one you tighten first to deal with the vibration problem??? or lessen it atleast

neither, tighten them up as much as possible to the spec tq if u can. i put lock tite and turn it as hard as i could by hand
