Recall announcement on mazdausa

Hey,

I don't log into Mazdausa Owner's web-site too often. Not much there usually. I never saw any recalls before, but today I noticed the following:

There is a recall concerning:


Mil Illumination (dtc P2006) Voluntary Emission Recall
Obd-ii Compliance Voluntary Emission Recal

Anyone know what this is?

Recieved my two recall notices in the mail on Saturday 9/29.

1st applies to vehicles built between 2/14/2006 ans 4/28/2007 and involves reprograming the PCM (Powertrain Control Module)

2nd applies to vehicles built between 2/14/2006 and 2/24/2007 and involves
replacing the variable swirl shutter valve actuator.

These recalls also apply to many MazdaSpeed 3's and 6's.

Recall indicate that both items should take one and a half hours to complete and a rental car will be provided if requested. I can post these recals in scan form if anyone is interested.

Oooh, I like how it specifies for a rental, I'm taking my CX-7 into a new dealer, so they really better not give me any smack when I ask for one.

Got mine yesterday....doesn't bother me any...they give me a rental all the time...no biggy.
