Hey guys, You probably saw my post on droning, well this is why i asked!!!! Someone local here is offering for 295$ a 2.25' cat back exhaust with Magnaflow resonator and magnaflow exhaust made custom for every car he does. Or he has stainless steel for 350$ more. Do you guys think it's a good deal?

Here's a vid of the sound of it on an Altima:

Waiting for your opinions.

thing is the one in steel is crush bent not mandrel, but as you can see in the pics, it's pretty well done. Is that still ok?

ehhh, i dont wanna make call I dont know enough about, I was mostly going by the price, ill check to someone else to answer this.

looks like it is pretty good quality. Will it be a catback, or eliminate the midpipe and be header back? as for crush vs mandrel, i doubt you will really notice a difference on an NA P5. All i can say though, if you wait and keep watching the FS threads, you will be sure to find a stainless mandrel bent catback setup for well under the 350 range. just have to look around a bit and be patient.

if you do the crush bent setup, make sure the resonator isn't louvered, meaning it has reaised portions on the inside wall. this can tend to create more back pressure than a stock setup. you want one that is perforated.

i just bought a magnaflow catback for my P5 on ebay for $65 shipped.

I have the Magnaflow exhaust on my car...the only engine mod I have on it is the AEM intake and a hi-flow cat, and it sounds nice. I had 2 1/4" piping w/ no resinator and the Magnaflow is much quieter (duh)...but compared to stock u can hear it when u step on it (and I think I paid $575 for it). So $295 is a great deal...will u get the lifetime warranty?

unfortunately it's a custom job so i highly doubt i'll be offered a lifetime warranty. I've heard good things from Magnaflow from you guys, so i'm hoping for a great sound and some decent power. I'll definetely post up some sound clips :)
