Whats a good way to get my top end speed to improve. With the few n/a mods I have I dont see any real difference, once it gets to 80/90mph it takes forever to get past it. From 45mph, it took almost 2 miles to get up to 100 and i didnt even make it, i ahd to stop cause of a traffic light, i got to like 98...talk about pathetic

Easy stuff would be JDM (or more aggressive) cams, MP3 ECU if you're manual, a full catback.

the mp3 ecu wouldnt work withthe zm 1.6 no? also if i put in the mroe aggressive cams how will that affect a turbo setup when i do that adventually

Do you have an auto or a manual?I have a manual 1.6 and I can get from 45 to 100 pretty quick in 4th gear.At that point I'm almost at redline so I have to shift to 5th.In 5th,it takes forever to get to 115 and my rpms don't budge past 5000.The only power mods are 2.5 in exhaust from the cat back with a ractive muffler.and a K&N drop filter with the tornado(chair) in my intake.I also have a full stereo system with a heavy box and 18x7 wheels. If I take out the box and rode 15's,I probably could go about 122mph.ANYWAY,I'm Hiboosting soon(rockon)

yeah with the 1.6L i start loosing races/loosing worse once i shift into 3rd. ur best bet is to do rolling starts from 20-25 or 40-50MPH. kicks down at the powerband.

do u use the auto like a ghetto manual and move the shifter into the gears as u want to or just let it work its ghetto fabulous magic and do it on its own?

Step 4: Unichip + boost controller + FMIC + bigger turbo
Step 5: repeat step 1 ( save more $$ )
Step 6: More, more, more and MORE mods :)
