What have you done to your P5 today?

Does anyone have a link to the factory Mazda alarm installation? I searched and could only come up with a bunch of people saying how easy it was - I won't know if it's easy or not because I don't even know where to start. protege5.ugly.net does not have anything as far as I have looked. I just want to install this while I have all the panels off ther car for painting. Anyone...?

i have them, i'll pm them to you or attach them here

it is indeed 24mm, and i still cant get the support bracket. The bolts are kind of siezed. Its pretty damn annoying. I'm gonna try again tomorrow morning. wish me luck!

Torch and pb blaster ftw. I don't think my cordless impact fit under there, but I'm sure you could get a big breaker in there :D

Pic *****! j/k...thought abouth doing that myself at one point. Would have added extra glare to my already blingy engine bay.

today im driving the p5 to get my hair cut, then get the girl some flowers, then it gets to sit in the garage. It's my girlfriends prom and she wants to take my parents s*** box*, so we are.

*s*** box: noun: sh it bks: 2002 automatic v6 mustang convertible. 14k, 3 alternators, one entire ecu all under warranty. I'm not a fan, but she wants it and its her day, so thats what she gets.

so i come out to my car yesterday after work and what do you know, its been attacked by birds again -_- This time its all over the hood.....i swear, that wait until i wash my car before they paint it white......

Speaking of bird ^$^&*.... I have been messing around with RAM air on my P5. As you can see in the first picture the Weapon R SW intake does not give you enough @$&^@%# room to connect it. I added a 60 degree elbow and moved my coolant resevior over a bit and there was just enough room. I mounted the ram air scoop under the bumper. My wife has not crunched it on a parking block yet I am very surprised. I will eventually move it somewhere out of sight or just extend it to a CAI. THis is easy as I can just put the cover on the scoop if it rains.
I not so proudly claim the title of dirtiest engine compartment in the world including the avian glob on my fender. Not to mention the marks on my front bumper my 2 year old made with a sharpe from my toolbox :( Ahh kids...thats ok I was lucky enough to have time to do this.

^ No sound clips, nothing to record with, sorry. Yeah the quality is awesome. I need someone to drive it I want to hear it too, lol. Very mellow tone, nice and quiet, neighbours wouldn't even hear it. More responsive.

hopefully my exhaust hangers get here by tuesday so i can put those on. but a quick question b4 i do. my rb cat back sticks past the bumper by about 1 inch. is that normal? just want to make sure for when i change the hangers that it fits like it did prior to changing them.

that's probably just the weld from when it was shortened. If they're using the stock hangers right now switching to the kartboy hangers won't change anything except maybe how close it stays to the bumper.

How the hell do you clean an engine? Water hose? Also, yea, that air box is gone once I get 'er completely paid off!

Left her home. I'll probably give 'er a good scrub later on

My mom drove her too slow, but she's improving and hopefully will compete some more this season. And speaking of birds, I've got a nice white spot now right beside the foglight.

With as dirty as you car is you are going to need a bucket of soapy water.

Clean it with a sponge just like you would on the outside then rinse it off. Be carefull not to get the airfilter wet. If you do don't start the car until you get it dry.

I clean my engine bay everytime I wash my car. That's weekly.

Also why wait until its paid off to get an intake? I got my intake within the first month after buying my car back in 2003.

how much of a pain in the ass is swaping out all the hoses and lines, i was thinking of getting some blue samco hoses from PG. And maybe a catch can.

Also theres no how-to for this could u write one, i'm worried about all the liquids spilling out everywhere.

thanks(sun)
