i just got a dg lip and i just want some opinions on if i should paint it the color of my car(white), keep it black (to compliment my rims), or top half the color of my car and bottom half leave it black? heres a pic of my car

i think the black looks good. does it have a clear coat? if not, then thats wat i would recommend. but the black blends well with the white paint and the black wheels.

I like the look of keeping the bottom half black with the cf version - but I think with your color combo it can work with the urethane lip as well. It will certainly save you some repainting headaches once you start driving around.

blackened headlights will be on this weekend maybe. then i'll take a pic with the lip on as well and we'll see how that'll look. oh yah the eyelids and the grill will be white. those are just test fitting pics

At first I thought leave it black and paint the side skirts and bottom of the rear bumper to match.

But then I remembered that under certain lighting conditions my lower black stripe makes my car look lifted. With the skirts painted black and the lip black it would simply vanish into the pavement and not be seen and make his car look really lifted.

paint the upper part white, paint the lower part flat black. it will scrape at some point and having the bottom black will hide it.

Sorry, it's just my opinion and completely a matter of taste, I think. Having just a black lip makes it look a little out of place and unbalanced. Your side skirts and rear valence aren't black so it kinda comes out of nowhere. It's kind of like when people drive around with primer colored parts on their car. This doesn't look as bad as that, but I'd put it in the same category. And plus, I think all white looks good regardless. White cars = sweeeet.

my $0.02:

paint it all white! it'd be one thing if the lip were CF...but unpainted urethane makes baby jesus cry

I think the headlights and the rims will look good together...no need to add a black lip into the equation...

black headlights will look great.

how do you like temecula? i'm gonna be moving there in the fall.
i've lived here practically my whole life, about 17 years. great city, great communities, clean environment, nice people, midway point from san diego and los angeles. and its growing pretty good. they said a water park will be set up in the near future. so i think you would like it. good luck with the move.

right now all white is winning which was what i planned to do in the first place. well we'll see.

i say leave the bottom black and paint the top white... i would go with a gloss black though so it matches the wheels.
