Today I installed a set of Nology Hotwires.

The most time consuming part was taking a razor blade and cutting the wiring harness to extract the wires that go to the coils.

Don't pay any attention to the filthy engine bay. It has been snowing and raining for the past 3 weeks and I haven't cleaned under the hood in a while.

You need blue Samco Rad Hoses... I took my Nology's off. Had misfires after about 2,500 Km... Put stockers back on, problem solved... Looks good though!

you should get the mazdaspeed mount for the coils, although you might have to remove the cruise control if you want that style..But it looks super clean.

How do you get them damn plug caps off? I wanted to change my spark plugs by myself and maybe do the wires someday but I couldnt ever get those things off without feeling like I was gonna break something so I took it to the dealer.

I've had them off a few times already.

I changed out the plugs in the first year for some Denso Iridiums.

Then again around 80 thousand miles I changed them again because my motor was making weird noises. I thought it may be plugs.

WRONG! = zoom-zoom-boom changed motors at 85 thousand miles. Dropped in a used MAM motor with 28 K on it last Dedember.

My car had 111,234 miles on it when I changed the wires today.

how do they come off?

Each coil pack has two bolts holding them to the valve cover and the boots just pull out.

s***, I wish my engine bay was that "dirty"!

If you ever see my car in person at a show and then compair it .... its dirty right now. People in my car club just roll their eyes at me when it comes to my engine bay. When I did my motor swap I got into the empty engine bay and washed & waxed the frame.

I can only speak for mine, but as soon as I put them on, I was getting misfires in cylinders 1 and 2 like crazy. I checked and rechecked all the wires 50 times. Google'd it and I'm not the first either. Not to say that they're complete s***, but I'd definitly consider them as more of an appearance mod than a performance one...

An expensive engine dress-up one at that!
