Xmas is Here! HD TV FTW!

So i decided this year to do something big for myself instead of the car...and got a new TV!!!! Samsung 32' LCD which looks amazing.... but you can't just get a new tv and leave everything else old and crappy

Further upgrades inclused Monster 800 Cables for everything, Psyclone Component switcher for component PS2(have not purchsed yet, only have the cable at this point) and Xbox, Samsung upconverter HD DVD player(it's not a blueray, but looks killer), and my old Sony receiver 5.1 using optical cables for better sound

Mortal Combat, Forza, Black, Halo, Tony Hawk, Splinter cell, all look so clean in this

I'll Eventually get a 360 when it comes down in price. Then finish it with a wireless router so i can go on Xbox live again, kinda miss it.

What you guys think? all this for roughly 1700(shocked)

Nice dude, a 32' tv is huge. I don't even have a 32' living room. Seriously, pretty good price and not a bad brand.

dude, get urself the HD antenna so u can pickup local channels in HD and look into getting a power conditioner to protect the TV and other sensitive components. i have a 42"HDTV with the cantilever wall mount. kicks ass...

haha yeah my tv is about the size of 4 of those lcd's put together. a lil bit smaller

it's a modded XBOX running Xbox Media Center and there is definitely no pixelation in the games, in the contrary it looks 10 times better because you are running HD. I am running pretty much the same setup just different tv

look at the A pillar of the car. not a straight diagonal line. Maybe pixelation is the wrong word. Jaggies.

Hook a 360 up to it and you'll instantly see the difference.

Its not noticable in SD but its not as clear either.

thats what Anti-Aliasing takes care of. With the more advanced hardware in the 360, it can handle much higher levels of AA without slowing down the framrates, and at better overall resolutions (which also help cut down the 'jaggies')

really any old antenna will work. if you have one on your roof already use that one.

Yea, I remember that pic. Your cat is in heaven. I was going to get 60", but it would have been to big for the room. You must sit a formulated distance from the tv to see the best resolution.
