i did it so i could put the neat little orange filter i got in my engine bay lol

when would the filter need cleaned? around the same time as the cai? do you blow it off or reoil it like the cai?

There is no need to even use an oiled filter really as its just going to be clogged with engine oil. Just take a look at it everytime you check your oil just to make sure its not completely saturated. When it does become wet just wash it out dry the little filter and put it back on. The only reason the filter is even there is so oil doesnt get blown all over the place yet the head can still breath
