i got one right after i bought the car and thought i'd use it/need it...not so, anyway i may get rid of it

I have one. it does save your bumper from scratches. also good for holding water when you wash it then dry it..then when you move the car all the water comes gushing out.

Open your trunk and wipe it off. It is the water in the door handles that drives me crazy. After I wash the car I open and close the doors a bunch of times. The neighbors look at me like I am nuts.

Under what? It doesn't hold under the guard, it holds behind it where the hatch covers the inner space between the guard and the weatherstripping.

lol i dont like the fact that it holds a bunch of water under there, that cant be good for the paint

Neither is scratching it from loading desks, lawn mowers, bikes, etc. :)

well at the moment i really dont need one to cover any big scratches up however for 15 i may just pick on up from mazdastuff.com and then ill have it when i need it

Haven't tried a lawnmower yet. Five cases of tile, two 50lb bags of mortar, three 15lb bags of grout, tools, wetsaw, and a cooler of beer fit though.(first) I looked like I had some crazy coilovers.(cabpatch)

Funny you mentioned cooler of beer. I remember in a Car and Driver comparo test they fit like 38 cases of beer in the back. Sounds like a fun party to me! :)

Took mine off. I like the cleaner look to the rear. It now sits on a shelf in the garage.

I do open the hatch and wipe but I think that when my rear bumper had to be repainted the shop didn't tape it down very well when they reinstalled it.

Oh, and I do the open and close the doors multiple times thing also but my neighbors already think I'm nuts because I wash my car so frequently.

My original one either had been pried off a bit, or the double sided tape just gave out after 2 years.

And I did clean the heck out of the surface before installing.

I'm on my 2nd rear bumper and guard thanks to someone rear ending me.
