Custom Front Lip... What do you guys think?

ive got an idea about what im lookin for, its just gonna take me tomorrow to get it right enough so that it can be modeled by you

This is the best i can do in photoshop, so dont make fun of my skills.
Use a lil imagination and squint your eyes so it wont look so bad.

a couple of things:

its really nice that you are designing this new lip, but maybe a brand new design will be nice.. since that current design exists already, this is just a suggestion

as for the photoshop above... why not simply put that photo of your car as a background in the program you use to render the lip, position the lip so that it fits the shape, and render it
if it doesnt work out for you, let me know, i'm modeling and rendering in 3ds max for almost 4 years now, so i can help you out with that, even appllying a matching paint, so let me know.. maybe we can do something about this ;)

Thanks... I was going to use a pic to do the final model, but I didnt have a front view when I did it. As for the non-original design, I like the dg lip design, I just thought it needed so minor modifications. If you or anyone else can come up with a new design that looks good on our car, by all means, send it this way.

looks good, but what about brake ducts, i was kinda likin those, but hey, its ok, we dont HAVE to have them
No no, they're still going on, I just didnt have time to put them in tonight.
Too many students came in for tutoring tonight so i didnt have a chance to work on it for very long.

How about something like the attached image?

A rear diffuser would be nice, I've been thinking about making one for awhile, but the car just can't get close enough to the ground to make it very functional.

When looking at the actual side profile of the car the front bumper lower edge travels down as it goes toward the back of the car. If a lip doesn't compensate for this and is just the same thickness all the way back, it exaggerates that look and it's funny looking. The AutoEXE lip countered this by just totally covering up that part of the bumper and doing their own thing to sorta make it flow to the front edge of the sideskirt, though they didn't really do that good of a job with it.. only looks normal on the hatchback, makes the sedans look funny from the side.

hey mang, went through all your designs and i saw that they look nice...by the way, if i can make a suggestion, would it be alright if you model some front lip like maybe from the wrx lines like the ones in the attachment?

Man, with your skills, you need to make side skirts or a rear lip for a Protege 5.
