hey guys im about to install my hks axelback. . . . .i don't have the shop manual around since i lost it when i formatted the comptuer but can someone look up the torque specs for the two bolts that hook up at the flange of the axelback?

thanks a lot

awesome. . .. .i found out it was 25ft/lb as i just called mazda. . . . .i had to make a service appointment with them anyways. . . .heh. . i hope this thing sounds good

i got mine from www.modacar.com...it came quick, it was easy as hell to install, and i love the way it sounds and it comes out at an angle...here is a pic - if you want more pics let me know i love to be able to help..ps if you need a shop manual i can hook you up email me

i got mine from chris @ SPD for 240 shipped on this forum. his name i think is FC3s boy.
it was pretty qucik shipping (as fast as ground can get you from cali i guess)

yea i think it sounds really cool (and i noticed that the highway drone pretty much is non existant once you pass around 80 mph.

yes...have a can of wd40 handy in case they decide to be tricky...there are two, i just pushed really hard and squirted them with the wd40...then you just have two bolts on the pipe...the hardest part was the fact that i stipped one of the bolts because i didnt have metric wrenches with me, so i had to use a hacksaw to take the f'ed up bolt off...if that hadnt happened, it might have taken about 30 min tops

wd40 was awesome. . .and watch for the damn exahsut heat shield when you are down under there. . .i got my pinky good with that damn thing. . .why cant they make them with rolled edges like computer cases nowadays (i cut myself on those a lot too)

more top end power it seems, but not too much, as with all bolt on mods...ill give you some under carrige pics if you want

no problem i have to run to the store, ill take some pics when i get back, just hang tight for about an hour or two max

the red arrows show the two bars you need to remove from the rubber fittings, and the smaller red arrow in the upper left hand picture closest to the pavement is where the two bolts are located on the piping itself
ps - sorry the pics look dirty, we just had a rainstorm...i dont have my silencer installed, you can see where it goes where the two holes in the tip are.
