CX-7 warranty repair #1, after 2 weeks of owning

Yeah, poor cx-7 has had a rough life with us so far. camera toasted, then kids climbed up on her denting the heck out of her, a rookie PDR guy messes her up requiring paint repair. 3 different loaner/rentals this month, our neighbors must think we are rich!

unfortunately, they are the only one for 45 miles. We really should not have to worry about a dealer screwing up the car. Thatis why I hesitated to bring it to them to begin with! We just need to move closer to better dealers, I guess. They are not touching the car ever again, except for warranty repair, I can guarantee that.

And as far as the checkist, it was left in the car originally, and is now missing, included the check mark next to how they should be inspecting the navigation and rear camera if applicable.

And as I asked above, after 800 miles, that 3K idle test they do seems too little too late, don't you think? The car was used by the owner, as we found his kid's stuffed animal crammed behind the back seat armrest..

I don't see anything that mentions the navi!

That is not the sheet they used. I am telling you it was different than the final inspection, it was different. They called it that, but they went through the whole car for a while, not the 15 minute run through.

that is the sheet they SHOULD use
it is NOT the same as the sales delivery checklist!

It is a SHOULD NOT have taken it back, SHOULD NOT have bought there, SHOULD NOT have to deal with them molesting my cars anymore situation, and I am glad it is over. Well, I hope it is over.

yeah you better hope.... you better hope you don't have the dreded P0442 code if you get a "CEL"... most likely that bad ass dealer will just reset the ECU and tell you that you didn't tighten the gas cap when the gas cap itself has issues! issues that are serious enough that they should call mazda first for special instructions on fixing this problem that's pretty common on cx7s

Thanks for the heads up. I have seen posts about that. While there today, they replaced bumper cover #2 again. This time, used a template, as that is what needs to be done to keep them from peeling up.

Sounds like you have a crappy dealer.....too many out there it seems! And they wonder why we hate the whole process of buying cars etc! I have been pretty pleased with Mazda thus far...had a P5 with no issues and RX 8 with lots of issues at two dealers. The dealers have been pretty good to me.....it's best I have found to be decent with them but firm when you need to be....otherwise who knows what these techs will do if they think you are a jerk. I chat with them and they have seen me in enough with my car that they know me by my name. They have been pretty good and since I am a woman I feel like I had to show them that I am not a dumb broad who doesn't know anything about cars! One tech at one of my dealers comes out of the back and greets me when he see's me and wants to take care of me right away etc.....hmmmm....a benefit of being a woman. I hope things get better for you Raider!
