i wasn't thinking about rockblockers, i've been told they sell some crap that you can smoke your lights with , a type of paint or something.

oh.. I used nite shades on my side markers and was very impressed, just make sure before you put it on your tails realize it's not going to come off unless you sand it off, but with rockblockers you can just peel..

isn't it harmful or even lethal to smoke your taillights? I smoked a pretzel stick once in high school, but no taillights. Damn. Good luck on that one.

enough b/s'ing. Sorry I couldn't help myself.

back to topic.

have you ever used this? how does it hold up? is it shiny or do you need a clearcoat?
I personally love my niteshades. yeas I had to use a clearcoat to make it not be dull, but I love it and did a good job.

Yes I have used this stuff a few times. I have used nightshades aswell and I can contest that this imported stuff just does a better job period. I would suggest using a clearcoat whether using nightshades or this other brand.

i just put my rockblockers on my tails and fogs tonight. tight fit for the P5 tails but with a little patience (which i do not have ) they look pretty good. So even though you aren't interested, it'll give you something to compare to.

I was going to, but then decided against it for legality reasons. Mass is a pain in the butt about that kind of stuff. I'm glad I didn't, because I did end up getting rear ended several weeks ago. Had I smoked my tails, I'm sure I would have been found partially at fault. Not doing it saved me $500 (or more). There's my 7.5 cents. (cheers)

Exactly. Though it looks different, I'd rather have people see my taillights in full brightness.

that's exactly why I got rockblockers! easy to take off if need be plus very clean looking and easy to install (no masking, drips, even coats, etc to worry about).
