FS: ONE NEW OEM MAZDA RX8 6CD CHANGER

I purchased a brand new in the box 6 CD changer that is supposedly for a RX8. i thought maybe it would work on my 06 M3 but it does not. If anyone knows anyone with a RX-8 or has a stereo this would work with. now is your chance to get a sweet deal!

This was sealed in the Mazda Factory box when i got it. i opened it. it has not been used or even plugged in. I compared it to the CD player in my car and it is not the same. this must work with the older square radios where the CD player is a seperate box that sits ontop of the radio section. This has a mfg date of Nov 2001 so this must be for the 2002+ models.

I paid $100.00 plus shipping and i am looking for as close to that as i can get. I prefer the cash, but please feel free to send me trade requests. Most likley just the cash but i may consider trades of other car stereo parts like factory radios, cd changers, 6.5" component speaker sets etc. anything that i might be able to use in my car. or, have a 20 gig iPod?

Wait wait that's for an RX8?? That trim replacement piece is definitely the one for the Protege5. Hmm. I would post this in the general for sale forum because I'm sure some Protege peeps will be interested. Hell I'm almost interested, I kinda miss my stock head unit :'( only used it for a day or two before I replaced it.

I think it should work with the head unit in the Tributes, but it would need the tribute's radio trim piece

The Ebay Ad i bought this from said it was for a RX-8, but i am not so sure? It is model number F149 79 EG0 It should fit many models. just not mine!

Yeah I dunno that trim piece it came with is definitely the Protege/Protege5 trim piece, but I thought that most of the Mazda head units were all the same? Hence why the AuxMod works for the Proteges, 6s, and 3s.

I dont have a clear picture of my radio that shows the detail. and i am not going to explaint his very well. but the older radios like the P5 etc have seperate chassis for the radio and the cd player. but my 06 M3 there is one chassis that has the main radio part and the cdplayer all in one. it has the same hole in the bottom for the cassette deck. but when you buy the correct CD-changer part it replaces the whole main chassis!

I have already re-installed my radio or i would take some more photo's. Believe me i checked. i even opened the top of my unit to see if there was an easy way to just swap out the insides but there isnt.


SO, i will keep hunting for the correct part. i really want the 6cd/mp3 changer anyway but i dont want to spend $500.00 for it!

oh wow. yeah it's just a couple screws and the cd player part of mine can come off. 100 dollars for the 6 disc changer for my car.. then I'd need a line out converter to hook up my subwoofer again, and I could be back to the stock deck. I'd probably get an auxmod but I really think I could live with 6 albums at a time, even though I've been used to having 20gb of music with me at all times.

I have a brand new Auxmod as well i will sell you. I purchased it, went to put it in and found the P.O. had already installed a Mazda to Alpine adapter and a Alpine to RCA cable! So i wont be using my auxmod.

If your stereo looks similar to this!

If your stereo looks similar to this or is the newer M3 type (04-05) that has two seperate chassis. this should work!
