and my car goes BOOOOOOOM

i had the same problem, so my quick and easy (and cheap) fix was to bungee cord it to the back of the rear seats. kind of ghetto, but until i can get my custom box built, it does the job. :)

I have the same thing. I have a black rubber bungee hooked to the hooks on the back of my seats.

Excuse the condition of the car in this pic it was under construction.

My friend's box slides around really bad in his STI so he had the shop put in L-brackets to hold it down to the floor with screws. That still didn't work cuz the brackets broke, but his car takes off, whips around, and changes directions a lot harder than proteges. Oh and you should think about getting a capacitor for your dimming lights along with the optima battery, it really helps a ton!

Screw or staple the hook side of some velcro strips to the bottom of the box, they will grab the carpet and stop it from sliding

Good luck backing that up, in general most people here agree that a cap and an optima do very little if anything to help dimming lights on our cars

That may be so but it does help save battery and give the amp(s) the full power needed.

capacitor and optima are def on my to do list. and my box slides everywhere too. o well, ill do somethin about it eventually. but hey at least they sound nice

will be upgrading to the 1440 watt amp, thats enough to drive both subs at peak power 700w each

I'm upgrading soon also. I have a cvr 12" with 1410watts to it (cranked way down of course). I just blew the third one up last night, got it replaced today. I also priced out a new mtx 9500, but gotta save up for that beast.
