And some of the best published photos yet, are in the July issue of Car And Driver. Beautiful!

....just make sure you use Shell Helix motor oil ($60.00 per qt.) or the engine isn't warrantied. Oh; It takes over 12.2 qts.

Car & Driver indicated (redline limited, mfr's est) top speed of 209 mph.

0-60: 3.3 seconds
0-100: 6.6 seconds
1/4 mile: 11.2 seconds @ 136 mph.

hehe I sense a little McLaren tension there :)
Thats cool though the Ferraris are one of the best super cars ever produced in my opinion also.

Still like the F1 for it brings to the table, but the Enzo is a amazing machine in it's own right.

The Liegenfelter Twin Turbo 'Vette (which is as much a production car as the Enzo) has a MEASURED top speed of 224mph. That was done on an average of 4 runs at a proving grounds oval. 2 runs clockwise 2 counter. I believe the article was in Car and Driver.

I personally don't like the looks of the Enzo but think the Modena is the sexiest car Pinafarina ever penned. And since every one of the Enzo's planned for production has already been sold, I can at least hope to obtain the 360 (go lotto).

True but the Ling is a aftermarket company modifying a production car so it techincally does not fall in the same group.

Be neat to see what other mags get out of the car since in one test they even got the Focus SVT to post 72mph Slalom times.

so many mags and people are complaining about the looks of the enzo, on how ugly it is. ( i also think its kinda funny looking), but there is a reason for it looking like this BC its so f*cking fast!! jeez what an amazing machine. Im gonna go buy one. ;-)

I think it was road & track that said it cost $700 somethign for an oil change? holy s*** ballz (cry) but hey, if you could afford an Enzo...$700 seem like 70 bucks to you. And srew the 0 to 60, it does 6.6 second in 0 to 100! you need a neck brace to ride one of these things! I really like to see it go up against the mighty Mclaren... the Mclaren will **** the Enzo!! J/K! no flames war pleaseeee

I like the look of it. It is certainly refreshing to see something so bold looking in amongst other boring luxury cars. I think luxury car manufacturers are afraid to push that aspect because they don't want to lose customer base. I don't have a problem with the way it looks because I know that every line on that thing is designed to be there. I like the front nose too. It's got an open wheel motif goin for it of course with out the juge front spoiler.

couldnt have said it better... and im glad people on this fourm are actaully intelligent so many other fourms just rule the Enzo out becasue its "ugly" and its BS, i personally think its amazing its just different and peolpe are just so use to following the norm plus a lot of it has to do with funtion over form and they were trying to go for a Grand Prix style since thats what they were basing the car on... and ARG oil change:$732 Brake Pads:$600 Driving the finest pancing horse (automobile) ever: Priceless

$6,000 for the Brake pads (a set)

I personally, think it's gorgeous. There is an F50 here in the Memphis area, and a couple of Diablos. Both breathtaking - but the Enzo raises the stakes, for sure.

Although, all 399 Enzo's (built) were, apparently spoken for; Black on Black Motorcars in Beverly Hills has (4).

WOOT!
Ok lets see:
How many members do we have here? And if everyone chiped in $500 dollars... :)

Hmm might have to start selling organs again

Any word on what you need to buy one? Believe for the F50 there was a list of for buying it. Such as having previously owned a Ferrari, could only lease it orginally then give the lump sum later to buy it etc.

i think the enzo looks awesome...................i hear people complaining about how it looks like a 'cartoon' car, that is such bs..........the thing i like about it is that it doesnt look like all the other super cars........

if you see a lambo, you think 'oh, is that a diablo, murcielago, etc'............when you see an enzo, you think 'damn, look at that enzo'..........

i took this pic at the chicago auto show...... :)

i like it, the only time i think its ugly is in the head on shot, from every other angle its gorgeous. i also like the lamborghini gallardo tho, and its about a 10th of the price of the 1.5mil enzo.

the actual name of hte car is the Enzo Ferrari...so it comes out to being the "Ferrari Enzo Ferrari"

youre pretty heavy on the italian pride, no?

sweet.

Nice car.

I am sure non of you will believe what I am about to tell you, but that is fine. I didnt at first, but it infact proves to be true. When my dad was my age, 19, he purchased a 1969 Camaro. We have another one today, but it isnt nearly as nice...or as fast as his first. The following are actual times that he pulled in his car on a regular basis.

0-60:1.9 to 2.1 sec

0-100:3.0 to 3.4 sec

Top speed:220..maybe faster he never had enough space to go faster than that.

1/4: 8.0-9.0 sec (his average was around 8.7 sec) but he pulled a few 8.0.

Now the car was street legal...sorta...it was extremely loud. It went headers to a 3 foot pipe to 2 turbo exhausts. Wasnt that loud in the car caues he put damping board in it to make it not so noisy.

Also another problem that the car had was rippin its rear axel apart, In the years he had the car he went through 20 or more axels...he said he would easly rip one apart a month, racing seemed to do the trick. He ran 12:1 compression, custom built A LOT of the engine parts. When he had the car he was working for SRI in the nuclear development department, and also under the mility devision doing some sort of development work....wont go into what.

Anyways back to the car. He had enough compression and torc that when he launched himself off the line it would come off all 4 wheels, and propell itself a few feet forward. He was actually heading to the coast with my mom in the car and went to pass a line a cars, he was running in 3rd and he dropped it down to 2nd, and just stompped the hell out of it, and than after getting up speed shifted to 4th, than at about 185 the front end lifted off the ground.

Anyways, thought I would share that cause of the orinigal top of fast cars. I know you guys wont believe it, I didnt for a few years, than I seen the pictures, and talked to his friends about it. Hopefully soon the Camaro we have now will be as great as his first.

If I can find the pictures I will try and scan em to post em!

hmmmmm.

I love that Enzo. The front end has a lot of influence from Ferrari's F1 cars, and I think the tail lights look sick, the way they appear to just sit on top of the rear end. Beautiful, functional car.
