how to measure a wastegate

I have an external wastegate and im not sure what size it. I mesaure the outside of the first ring and its 35 i measure the outside of the second ring and its 42.

what type of wastegate is it? perhaps there are some markings on it that you could use to figure it out? Otherwise, I'd say the inlet diameter is the size.

the inlet measures 33.

i was told it was a tial.

Tial makes a 38, 40, 44, 46mm wastegates, so i dunno... sorry

Does it not say TIAL across the top of the wastegate?
