Turbo with the Automatic traney???????

Just wondering how the stock automatic trany holds out, when you add the turbo.Any sugestions.thank ya (p5black) (help)

I have talked to many turbo guys about this, especially the ones who also have the auto, and they all say from 5-7psi and thats it. Anymore then that and you will break it.

Thank you.so basicaly stock turbo set up.This is good to know.I have switched to Mob1 synthetic autotrany.Anything over 5-7 spells trouble for me

02 auto boostin 5 psi, no problems...i don't beat it but im in and out of boost frequently over the last 8K miles....no problems so far! car has 74K on it..what are your plans?

Plans-do a mazdaspeed transplant(turbo,cams).Would like to keep the boost 5-7, just enough that i will not hurt trany and non-forged bottom end.Larger intercooler than stock Mazdaspeed.OBX turbo header.Larger oil pan.Fuel rail Perkinn.Injectors ????.Intake bigger.and then fuel pump.Already transplanted 99.6% interior,suspension,wheels off 2003.5.I figure $6000 more thousand until done.Want it to look like a mazdaspeed wagon would realy look if was ever made+ a little.I need just back seat.I will have to get the rear bench custom made into two pieces that flip,like P5 now.No big rush still have a 5 and 6 year old back there.(little messy)

Holly WOW-i just went on the mental adiction web page.My engine bay is ever yellow.My Valve cover chermic yellow now.Forget mazdaspeed.Thanks

your em will be an issue...the msp ecu is for a manual tranny....i think you'll have to be thinking about a stand alone?

You are probly correct,never considered.Sounds like more money.Maybe still able to squeeze in $6gs??.I cannot do the standard, i have MS sometimes right arm dies.I actualy made the car seem to be standard.You have to push down shifter before it will move(custom).

Not done yet. Was sick off people asking WHY automatic.Now you can only tell by pedals,realy messes up the mechanics. (boom07)
