Is anyone using 16" R-Comps on their OEM Rims?

I'm tired of killing my 17" street tires at auto-x and want to get some dedicated track tires on my OEM 16's. Trouble is sizing and I'm wondering if anyone out there has found a good R-Comp that works on the 16's. I also have to take into consideration the car is lowered 1.5".
Thanks,

i used 205/45/16 Ecsta V700s on mine. they worked fine, even though they're not the best r-comps out there. the trouble is that the stock diameter is pretty small, and the width is pretty narrow, for a 16" wheel.

Well, I've done the research for this, and everything I've read says that 215/40-16 will fit the stock wheels. The only tire on the TireRack that size is the Kumho V710

215/40-16s fit with no problems. Run them and be very happy. :-)

ALL the mini guys, 2001+ Miata, and other narrow wheeled 16" guys run that tire.

FWIW, I can fit a 245/45-16 on a 7in wide wheel and a 225/50-14 on a 5 inch wide wheel. It's almost always the spring, strut and fenders that limit the size tire you can run on your car. :-)

Isn't a 215 too wide for the OEM rim? They're only 6" wide...
