not a damn difference that i can tell, although my car is stock.
this is what i grounded...

I grounded

Engine block to ground distribution block(supplied in kit)
Tranny bolt to ground dis.
Intake mani to ground dis.
Top left bolt on engine valve cover to ground dis.
Two chassis grounds i.e. (replaced stock grounds - going to top of strut mount and the ground that ran in the wire bundle under intake manifold) and ran them to the ground distribution block.

Kit said to ground to alternator and to head lamp as well, but didnt supply enough wire to do so, and also i couldnt find head lamp ground, and im still not sure where to ground on the alternator...

I still get headlight dim, i plan on maybe doing some more grounding...(wire below washer resevoir) and also where the hell can i ground to my "HEADLAMP" i looked allover and found no such info or an area to ground to, i think this may be playing a big role in why my headlights are dimming, oh yes, the car is no longer dimming with stereo tho :)!!!! i guess that is one result! all in all, im sure its better in the long run but im not seeing that much of a difference...

sorry if im (deadhorse but i thought id share...

is it important that the wires chain together?

mine are all run independently to the dist block that is connected to the battery ground....

yours are run in a chain, and now im starting to realize there was no difference at all in dimming and now that my stereo is tuned it dims once again... argh...

I'm not surprised. If Mazda could get an extra 5-10hp by just adding some wires they would probably do it.
