photoshop stamp effect?

:

just wondering if there is an easy way to do this. what i want to do is make a circular logo with text around the outside and a logo in the middle, and what i basically want to do is make it look like an old stamp, with the edges not smooth and gaps cut into it, that kinda thing. is there an easy way to do this in photoshop? i did a quick picture of the basic logo sans effect (or any good lookingness) so that i can play with it, but i'm not very good at photoshop so i'm wondering if someone has any pointers. thanks.

the font that looks like that is called RUBBER STAMP

and it's easier to work with type, for these types of things, in illustrator.

TIP: for photoshop use - Play with filters

I used the "Rubber Stamp" font mentioned by Junior for the text., then I redrew the red shield in illustrator and applied a distort filter to it. After that I used a spatter brush to create the spatter shapes on the shield. I turned the spatters into shape and subtracted them from the shield.

VIOLA!

(BTW, I would have charged a client $50 to do that, and not told them how I did it)
