another update:

I left the car at the shop today. The chicks insurance is dicking around. They opened the claim but "did not accept liability and have to investigate further" like there is something to investigate...
The shop seems good as i saw a couple of bimmers and corvettes being fixed.
I got a focus as a rental. Although i knew ford was using those, i was surprised to find an engine looking identical to the 2.0 mazda3. The engine seems nice and smooth but the transmission blows.... one of the slowest "thinking" slush boxes i've ever driven... yet still it has dicent pick up for what it is, esp. compared to zetek that the 2000 focus station wagon we had years ago had
other than that i hate the new interior, although was happy to find an mp3 capable stereo. It will do as a rental for the time being, and i am very very glad it's not a neon or the like....
i hope everything gets settled tomorrow and my car will be getting fixed.

The same thing happened with the accident in my MSM. My car was backed into while I was stopped, and the police report clearly placed the other driver at blame, but her insurance company still had to do the investigation. It's just something that has to be done even in cases like ours where fault is clearly known.

Nope, not because of that.
They are always in the hunt for anything or any reason not to compensate you or have you share some responsiblity. Like if you parked along some place you are not suppose to like a fire line or a handiclipped spot, etc etc.
Or if you taillights have been modified that the reflector weren't street legal, all kind of s*** they can think of.

update is that there is no updates. Her insurance is still dicking around, and it's starting to get on my nerves. My insurance has everything settled. The body shop hopes that it's gonna get settled tomorrow, but it most likely will happen monday......

nopers : ( that was one time i did not have my digicam with me....

but she wasn't even there when i got to the car. She was "distessed" and picked up by her dad. Her car was there + cops were there.....

OK. I have not upated in a while.
As it stands now my car has over 6 large in damages and the price will likely approach 7 large by the time it's done.
The shop has been absolutely awesome in customer service and i am almost positive the work will be on the same level.
I am still hoping to take some pictures, and i miss her like crazy. The focus is annoying me alot with it's bad handling and slow ass automatic...
i hope to have her back at the end of this week or next week...

do they have an estimate for you there on getting the work completed? sounds like it's not totalled, let's hope not at least..

When you take back the car from the shop, before you sign any releasing document, make sure you check the car out and compare it to those photos you have taken before the accident.
The lame shop that did my repair tried to talk me into believing things are fixed but infact they haven't.

Yeah i will definately make sure i check every little bit. The car is definately not totaled and the estimate as of now is 6250$ but it will most likely approach 7.

I am not a bodykit kinda person, so i think it will stay stockish apperance wise. I might get a lip for the front in future, but very possibly not, though....

I hope i don't forget my camera tomorrow and snap some pics for you guys.
